Dr. Liz Kestler

Dr Liz Kestler grew up in the South Bay and has been practicing in the East Bay Area since 1994. She received her B.A. in Animal Physiology from UC San Diego in 1989 and her D.V.M. from UC Davis in 1993.
Ever since she read “All Creatures Great and Small” by James Herriot at the age of 11, she has wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr Kestler loves getting to know her patients and their people. Her special interests are preventative care, dermatology, pain management and behavior.
She lives in Danville with her husband Bill who is also a veterinarian practicing in Lafayette, their son Thomas who is attending college and their daughter Emily who will be attending college in the fall, Daisy a three-legged Golden Retriever and Peanut a blond tabby.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, going on walks with her husband, yoga, gardening, reading, camping and travel.
