Dr. Amanda Bloomberg is a Bay Area native. After growing up in Fremont, she decided to stay close to home for college and attended Santa Clara University where she received her Bachelors in Science degree in Combined Sciences.
Her life changed completely after college when she decided tomove to West Lafeyette, Indiana to attend Purdue University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoyed her time in the Midwest learning how to the survive life in the snow but once she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2013, she decided to move home.
Dr. Bloomberg’s professional interests include internal medicine,dentistry, soft tissue surgery and preventative medicine. She has a strong passion for feline medicine and loves working with senior pets. The reason she became a veterinarian is to educate owners about their pets and serve as a support system starting from the pet’s first visit until their last.She believes the veterinarian and client work as a team to give their pet the best care possible. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical Association, and American Association of Feline Practitioners.
In her free time, Dr. Bloomberg enjoys gardening, watching local sporting events, and spending time with her family and friends including her husband and four-legged children. She has an orange tabby cat named Boiler, who she adopted while living in Indiana and named after the Purdue Boilermakers.
