    Sandy Block
    Veterinarian

    Dr. Sandy Block, our founder, has been serving the pets of the Tri-Valley area since 1990. She grew up in, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, New Jersey, a 4-year stay in Belgium before finally settling in Missouri.

  • Dr. Liz Kestler
    Veterinarian

    Dr Liz Kestler grew up in the South Bay and has been practicing in the East Bay Area since 1994. She received her B.A. in Animal Physiology from UC San Diego in 1989 and her D.V.M. from UC Davis in 1993.

    Elisa Miller
    Veterinarian

    Dr. Elisa Miller is the newest addition to Bollinger Canyon Animal Hospital. She grew up in the East Bay Area in Lamorinda. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2009 in many different roles: from client service representative to vet assistant to veterinary technician.

    Hospital Manager

    David grew up in the New Orleans area and moved to California with his parents in 1977 when his dad was transferred here with Chevron. He graduated from Clayton Valley High School and attended Cal State Hayward where he graduated with degrees in Public Relations and Business.

    Receptionist

    Adriana was born & raised in the Midwest. At a young age, she started volunteering at animal shelters while doing some rescuing of her own.

  • Bianca
    Receptionist

    Bianca has been working in the veterinary field since 2018, started as a kennel attendant then became a vet assistant, and has now retired into a receptionist position. She worked in a mix of general practices and emergency/specialty hospitals in Los Angeles before moving up to Norcal. She enjoys going to animal sanctuaries, and botanical gardens and being active by working out and swimming at the gym.

    Receptionist

    Kim started at Bollinger Canyon Animal Hospital in the fall of 2022. She is a California native and has lived with her husband and 3 children in the San Ramon Valley for many years. Kim has spent most of her working career as an elementary school teacher. When it was time for a change, Bollinger Canyon was the perfect fit because it combined her love of animals and desire to help others. She has had pets her entire life including not only dogs and cats, but rabbits, birds, snakes and bearded dragon lizards!

    Jordan has been a Veterinary Assistant since 2019. Her passion for animals started as a kid, She had all kinds of pets growing up from horses to turtles.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Cori has been a Vet Assistant since 2016. She is currently enrolled in PennFosters RVT program to get my AA degree and to be able to take the exam to become an RVT. She has two dogs(Miles and Rose), one cat(Bindi), and two rescue bearded dragons(Spitfire and Shoto).

    I grew up in Central Valley and moved to the Bay Area for school. I have a bachelor's degree in criminal justice but I found a passion for animal welfare after my first dog, Bane. He is my heart and best friend. We like going to the beach, running around, lying down, and sleeping at home.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Justine Magoon has always had an unwavering passion for helping animals andbringing them closer to their owners. She has been a doggy daycare coach, a dog bather, a dog trainer, and now a Veterinary Assistant here at Bollinger Canyon Animal Hospital with plans to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.

  • Idalis Rivera
    Veterinary Assistant

    Idalis has been in the veterinary field since 2016. Even at a young age, she knew she always wanted to work with animals and help them in any way possible. Idalis started out in the veterinary field during high school interning at a local animal hospital in Miami, Florida where she grew up. She knew then that she had found her dream profession and wanted to continue working toward becoming more and more knowledgeable in the field. She is currently a Veterinary Assistant in school working toward getting her RVT certification. Outside of work she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and exploring new food spots in the Bay Area as she recently moved to California from Florida in May of 2023!

    Kennel Technician

    Abby is a high schooler at Dougherty Valley. She started out during her sophomore year and has loved it ever since. Originally beginning as a volunteer, she wanted to gain experience and explore the occupations within veterinary medicine.

    Kennel Technician

    Mary is a high school senior at Cal High. She loves working with theanimals and is currently a part of Tassajara 4-H where she raises manylivestock animals including pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, andrabbits. She also pet sits regularly and enjoys fostering bunnies andGuinea pigs. Working at Bollinger Canyon Animal Hospital has provided herwith many new learning experiences, and has made her more comfortable withhandling animals and using veterinary equipment. Outside of work, sheenjoys being with her animals, playing games with her family, and being apart of and volunteering with her Saint Joan of Arc church community.
